How focused work unfolds

The first conversation, finding a focus, a manageable pace, and why the number of sessions cannot be fixed in advance.

You can start with what is happening now

You do not need to find the right words or explain your whole history beforehand. It is enough to describe a situation that concerns you and how you usually respond to it.

A focus emerges in the sessions

Conversation helps us look more closely at the situation, your experience, and familiar reactions. Together, we clarify what deserves attention now and what pace is manageable.

The approach develops as we work

Alexander draws on different approaches: process-oriented therapy, NLP therapy, Ericksonian hypnosis, generative coaching, brief psychotherapy methods, and the practical psychology of the Northern Tradition. These are possible tools, not a fixed programme for everyone.

Support in everyday life

The point is not to leave an important conversation in the consulting room. In the work, you may find a steadier perspective, state, or action and try applying it in a familiar situation. Sometimes a small, manageable practice emerges between sessions.

The number of sessions is not fixed beforehand

Four to eight sessions is only a starting point for discussing the pace of the work. This number does not promise a result or set a mandatory timeframe, and it may be revised as the process develops.

From Alexander's notes

I do not look for the right answer on someone's behalf. First, we notice together where the familiar answer is no longer helping them live.

Next step

You do not need to work everything out beforehand

A few lines are enough to see whether it makes sense to discuss the work further.
