Working with past-life imagery in regression
My approach involves preparation and gaining experience with ways of working with feelings and narratives before regression itself. Why?
It helps the person have a successful experience of particular techniques, registered in the nervous system at least once. We can then discuss which familiar ways of working may be appropriate during the regression. People do not generally enter regression simply to see how good things once were, but to explore painful experiences, without replacing necessary medical care. This is also why simply looking and returning to ordinary life may even be risky: if we do nothing with a problem, difficult experiences may remain without the attention and support they need.
When working with past-life imagery, a person may notice experiences and changes gradually. Their nature, timing, and durability are individual; personality change or treatment is not promised.
Working with past-life imagery and the value of the experience
An additional benefit of practising and learning ways of working with experiences is that you can discuss which of them are suitable for independent practice, with an understanding of how they are done and how they work.
P.S. During regression, I use a particular support technique and discuss the boundaries of the process; this does not guarantee complete safety or a particular result.
